Top 10 Neighbourhoods in Edmonton 2021

Those of you who know me, know that I love data. I combed through the 2021 real estate data to bring you a list of the Top 10 Neighbourhoods in Edmonton for 2021 based on resale residential home sales. I have also pulled out the average price for single-family homes in these neighborhoods to give you an idea of what it would take to live in each of them. I must say that this information does not include new home sales that were not on the MLS.

Top 10 Neighbourhoods in Edmonton for 2021

No 10 - Edgemont This is a west Edmonton community on the outside of the Anthony Henday (Edmonton's ring road).

No 9 - Keswick This is a southwest Edmonton community on the outside of the Anthony Henday.
The 2021 average sale price for Keswick is $549,522

No 8 - Laurel This is a southeast Edmonton community and the only neighborhood on the list that is inside of the Anthony Henday.

No. 7 - Walker  This is a southeast Edmonton community on the outside of the Anthony Henday.

No. 6 - Secord This is the most westerly Edmonont community on the list and it is also on the outside of the Anthony Henday.

No. 5 - McConnachie this neighborhood in North Edmonton is the only community in North Edmonton on the top 10 list for 2021. McConnachie is located inside the Anthony Henday.

No,.4 - The Hamptons This is a west community, just west of Edgemont and on the outside of the Anthony Henday.

No. 3 - Windermere This is a southwest community outside the Anthony Henday and the MOST expensive community to buy a house in on this list.

No. 2 - Summerside This is a southeast community with southwest addresses. This is due to the quadrant system developed in 1982 and it really confusing people, especially people who are new to the city (even some who are born and raised here don't know how it works).

No. 1 - Chappelle This is a southwest community outside the Anthony Henday. There are two parts to Chappelle, Chappelle Creekwood and Chappelle Gardens. Unfortunately, the current data doesn't differentiate, even though there are significant differences between to two.
